In Loving Memory ~
Patricia Gayle (Finney) Mascho passed away on Nov 15 in the North Island Hospital Comox Valley in
Courtenay after a long battle with Dementia. Gayle was born and raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
by Charles and Helen Finney.
Gayle was the oldest of 4 sisters. It was right after high school that she met her husband of sixty-four
years, Robert V. Mascho. Gayle was always a very active outdoors enthusiast and excelled in sports,
especially tennis and downhill skiing. She loved camping, bird watching, bike riding ... anything to do with nature. She camped in many of the parks in North America as well as various parks in Kenya where her husband worked for four years. One of her favorite activities was the time she spent at her family's cottage out on Lac La Ronge in northern Saskatchewan. Her love of nature led her to be an accomplished watercolour artist and her paintings grace many homes in Saskatchewan.
She was predeceased by her parents Helen and Charles Finney as well as a beloved sister Paige.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Mascho of Parksville, her son Robert D. Mascho, her daughter Paige (Dave) Knapman of Cumberland plus her daughter Melissa (Dave) Kelly of Saskatoon. Also left behind are sister Sandra Finney (Dennis Schaefer) of Saskatoon and sister Jane Hansen (Ole) of Junction City Oregon. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life gathering with family and friends is to be held in Saskatchewan.
The world has lost a beautiful angel, but heaven will receive her with open arms.
May God love you Gayle
