In Loving Memory ~

Marilynn (Lynn) Jean Tadgell died peacefully with husband Blair at her bedside on Dec. 4, 2024 in Nanaimo, B.C. at the age of 75.

Lynn is survived by her mother Jean, her husband Blair (children Christina, Jesse and Matthew), and siblings John (Roberta), Scott (Brenda) and Lori (Curtis).

Lynn was predeceased by her father Ted and brother Mark.

Lynn was born on Sept. 5, 1949 in Hamilton, Ontario to Jean and Ted Tadgell and established early friendships with Mary Virtue and Kathryn Nicholson. She attended high school in Hamilton, Ontario and completed her degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of Toronto in 1969.

Lynn moved out to Vancouver in 1969 with her friend Sue Robichaud where she met life-long friends Tricia Hughes and Heather Loewen. She practiced dental hygiene with several dentists in the Vancouver area.

Lynn met her first husband George Pugach in Vancouver and they were married from 1976 to 1989. Lynn maintained a life-long friendship with her sister-in-law Anya Nimmon (Pugach). They travelled extensively to Europe (Switzerland), Africa (Senegal) and Mexico and Central America in the 1970's and 1980's.

Lynn was an accomplished skier, windsurfer and scuba diver. She served on Whistler ski patrol in the 1980's. Later Lynn had a number of trips down to the Southern Baja, enjoying windsurfing.

Lynn raised her nephew Jesse Tadgell from the age of 1 as a single mom from 1994 onwards. Lynn met husband Blair Gohl in 1999 in Point Roberts, Washington at a Beaver camp for their two boys Jesse and Matthew and the rest is history. Lynn and Blair married in 2001 in Tsawwassen, B.C. and raised their blended family in Tsawwassen from 2001 to 2012 and later moved to Parksville, B.C.

During their married life they enjoyed numerous ski trips to Sun Peaks, mainland Mexico, the Baja, Hawaii and England.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Jan. 18, 2025 at Knox United Church, Parksville, B.C. with a reception to follow at the church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lynn's very full life.
