Helen Elizabeth Traynor, age 101, of Victoria, British Columbia passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022.
So this beautiful soul, Friend to many, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Great great and great Grandmother, has finally gone…just 27 days shy of her 102nd birthday, on a beautiful Easter weekend and a Pink Full Moon! It is somehow perfect.
She never wanted to suffer the indignities of age and, being a caregiver to her core, found it hard to let go into the service of others. In the end she found gratitude and grace in the surrender and said she was “content”. The Treasure at last. I admire her, for that journey, beyond words. Family was everything to her and I know she loved and felt loved by all of you. So find some fond memories of her, send a prayer and raise a glass to this gritty, wonderful lady to send her on her Way. God speed dear heart. You lived a wonderful life indeed.
- John Traynor (son)
Helen Traynor was a member of Knox, at one time she chaired the M & P committee, and was chair of the Search Committee that hired Foster Freed as the minister at Knox back in the early 90’s'.
