After a brief illness, Anne Gore quickly made her way home to God on Saturday, September 9th.
Anne was a beautiful soul with a delightful Scottish accent which she shared with us doing readings for our Celtic Christmas service in 2019. Trained as a midwife and nurse in Scotland, she emigrated to Canada as a young woman with a couple of friends. Nursing in various hospitals Anne made her way nursing across the country and eventually settled in BC and retired in Parksville.
Anne radiated warmth and kindness and her gentle spirit among us will be missed. We give thanks for her friends and neighbours and church family who rallied around her with meals and prayers and friendship in the last few weeks and for the nurses at Trillium Hospice who accompanied her in her last
hours. Our prayers go out to support her lifelong friends and brother in Scotland.
